Odd that Matt is both an "old (heh!) but still active poster" and "gone but not forgotten".

He's probably got a double registration.  Source:  ACORN.

Five years old?  So Fleebengaber's interest will be raised?

Congrats!
Assume this place lasts long enough for the time when we die our brains are downloaded into an AI computer.  Then we could visit NPB in the flesh-so to speak.  What does it look like?

Is this the fundraising time?

“LOOK round you,” said the citizen. “This is the largest market in the world.”
“Oh, surely not,” said the traveller. “Well, perhaps not the largest,” said the citizen, “but much the best.”
“You are certainly wrong there,” said the traveller. “I can tell you . . .”

I've also been around since vw_dick/dickster/Richard Ewing ran npforum.

How do I get the last 6 or 7 years of my life back?

Sad part is, I registered on that thing years ago as my Vortex alter-ego, posted for about two weeks, and promptly had other things take up more time. Like drinking.

And I will also state for the record that Lynn told me about this place. Smite her.

Oh crap.  If this is the NPB Pledge Drive we won't be returned to regular programming until we pony up for a stupid tote bag.

Yes, but where else can you get such a fashionable tote bag for the low low price of $175?
