Re: Ray Rice, Steve Slaton, or Chris Johnson?

Nice job 2.Doh.

Im seeing a pattern with Turner.......every other game he is dynamite, but the off games are really lame.  Im expecting big things this week, if the pattern holds, since he got his 50 yards no TD last week.

Re: Ray Rice, Steve Slaton, or Chris Johnson?

Thanks.. & I thought the exact same thing with Turner.

My options at WR this week are:

Jennings
Santonio Holmes @Jac
Jackson vs Was
Moore vs Minn
Mushin Muhammed(sp) vs KC
Bernard Berrian @ NO

Jennings is a must start, but I'm honestly torn for 2 & 3.

I'm leaning towards:

Holmes & Moore

?

Re: Ray Rice, Steve Slaton, or Chris Johnson?

Id run Jennings....... Jackson and Moore.

The Panthers are my team, my advice, dont trust Muhammad.....Jake Delhomme has not been a TD machine, expect less double coverage on Steve Smith this game because of Muhammads good stats last game(and KC secondary isnt so hot).....I say Steve Smith gets the ball this game.

Re: Ray Rice, Steve Slaton, or Chris Johnson?

I jumped on the Lance Moore bandwagon Tues. morning. He's lit it up 2 weeks in a row and seems to have emerged as Brees' go-to guy while Colston's out. Here's hoping it continues.

I'd go Jennings, Moore & Jackson also.

Got a trade offer yesterday. LT for Lee Evans & Ryan Grant

lol

Re: Ray Rice, Steve Slaton, or Chris Johnson?

That trade isn't all -that- bad, although I'd shoot it down.
It is trading a 1st round pick for what amounts to a 2 & 3, but Grant is gimpy &
Lee Evans hasn't shown much in the way of consistency.

I honestly put Moore in last week figuring he'd give me 7-8 receptions & ~ 80 yds.
That would've been fine. 2 TDs?

That was a gift.

I'm in a PPR league & he seems to be adopting a Wes Welker position on the team.
So indeed, lets hope it continues.

I was actually mulling between Holmes & Jackson, so I'll likely go with Jackson.
His 30 rushing yards were nice last week.

Yeah, PPR changes the calculations somewhat.

Re: Ray Rice, Steve Slaton, or Chris Johnson?

I prefer it to non PPR.
It makes a guy like Westbrook or Bush, that much more valuble.

BTW, the team I beat last week was in sole possesion of 1st place (We're now tied for first).

He has:

Eli Manning (played Campbell last week)
Westbrook (That goose egg hurt him)
Reggie Bush
Boldin
Santana Moss
Chad Ocho Stinko
Winslow Jr.

Re: Ray Rice, Steve Slaton, or Chris Johnson?

Campbell has GREATLY benefited from having Jim Zorn as Head Coach.

Pretty good team, especially his RBs in a PPR league.

Im gonna try to snag a top 3 TE with Kurt Warner if Dallas Clark doesnt shape up.  Randy Moss has been a great disappointment.....he didnt even try for a short slant ball in which he would have taken a hit at the stinkorama down in Miami.  To deal him at this point would be a waste.  Im just gonna sit on him and hope that Cassel is allowed to open up the long looper to Moss.....Gus Ferrotte made a big comeback from holding a clipboard doing that, after Culpepper got injured.

Re: Ray Rice, Steve Slaton, or Chris Johnson?

I have a second team I that I havent mentioned that got Ronnie Brown-ed, with Brian Westbrook sitting with injury.

Im sure Brett Favre, beat many a team, by himself last week.

Re: Ray Rice, Steve Slaton, or Chris Johnson?

A co-worker in my league has Brown -and- Farve.

& both were on the bench during their explosive weeks. lol

I felt bad for him for about a minute or so.

Sorry to hear of your Randy Moss troubles.
It illustrates Brady's value in the league.

Lance Moore!

but i'm biased since I need a big game out of him. intra-apartment bragging rights are on the line today.

Re: Ray Rice, Steve Slaton, or Chris Johnson?

ouch....yea, bad call there. Stewart's lack of quality production was quite beneficial to me. Gonzalez was a bust but it wouldn't have mattered since Lendale White didn't do shit either. As of now I'm down 9 points. He's all done, I've got Fred Taylor and then Lance Moore. This game would be over if I started Palmer, but who would've thought Dallas would be the team he'd finally put some numbers up on.

Hopefully Moore puts one in the end zone and has a decent game cause the way this Steelers/Jags game is goin it doesn't look Taylor's gonna get me much.

fingers are crossed

Re: Ray Rice, Steve Slaton, or Chris Johnson?

I won my game, so Moore's production tonight will be gravy.

I sat Minnesota's DEF & put Carolina in. big_smile

I've been rotating TE's every week & put Donald Lee in.

With Kasay at kicker, that's 42 points from my bottom three & makes up
for DeSean Jackson's poopoo against Washington.

Re: Ray Rice, Steve Slaton, or Chris Johnson?

DeSean Jackson scored a TD on a return.

The really bad thing is, I dropped Deangelo Williams and this fellow grabbed him and played him in a Bye Week replacement, 120 yards and 2 rushing and 1 recieving TD.  However, he also played Matt Schaub.

83 me  to 58, I have Brees to go, and he has Reggie Bush and Ryan Longwell K Min.

Our league doesn't include special team stats. sad

re: Williams - DOH!

He was a beast this week, as was Jacobs.
Bush won't get much rushing yardage, but Brees will
throw alot against Minn.

Good luck.

Re: Ray Rice, Steve Slaton, or Chris Johnson?

i wish the clap upon that prick Lance Moore. Maybe crabs for Drew Brees & Sean Payton to go with it. This doosh bag on the couch next to me eked out a win by 5 measly points. None too happy. This loss drops me to 6th place. Rough start to the season.

Re: Ray Rice, Steve Slaton, or Chris Johnson?

broken pinkie

out at least 4 weeks

the bad news keeps on comin for me

in the league i'm commish for that's a pay league i lost to a guy who didn't even play a QB. Frank Gore & Jones-Drew were enough to beat me along w/ Calvin Johnson. Campbell didn't put up much for me, LT is officially useless, though not as useless as Fred Taylor. My D did OK, as did my receivers. I got a crappy team this year, my record is now 1-4-1

in the free yahoo league i'm in, i'm about to move into a tie for 1st place but there i have Romo as my QB

f'n depressing season for me
