  • Funny.  This new deal looks just like the old one.

The sarcasm gets me every time.

They'll know what it is after they vote for it, amirite?
  • If you like your fossil fuel powered conveyance, you can keep your fossil fuel powered conveyance.
  • I'm just waiting for that train to Hawaii, since air travel will stop becoming necessary.
  • I saw someone else call her "Alexandra Occasional-Cortex".

Seemed like an awfully generous nickname.
  • In the video below, at about the 29 second mark, the haircut standing behind her performs an assessment of her can, and at about 33 seconds remembers that there's a camera on him.  It's better with the sound off, which we may note about other of her speeches in the future.

  • OC says she will transition us into the future.

What would have been the alternative?

    This video is painful.
  • Which guy?

  • The little guy whose head is sometimes obscured by hers.
  • If people want to really blow up one figure here or one word there, I would argue that they're missing the forest for the trees. I think that there's a lot of people more concerned about being precisely, factually, and semantically correct than about being morally right. ~ OC
  • I encourage any of you to read this resolution.  Your first reaction may be that anyone who uses the word "worker" as a political category needs a helicopter ride, but this is a gift that is going to continue giving for quite a while.
  • I don't read works originally scrawled in crayon.
  • "Whereas climate change, pollution, and environmental destruction have exacerbated systemic, racial, regional, social, environmental, and economic injustices (referred to in this preamble as "systemic injustices") by disproportionately affecting indigenous communities, communities of color, migrant communities, deindustrialized communities, depopulated rural communities, the poor, low income workers, women, the elderly, the unhoused, people with disabilities, and youth (referred to in this preamble as "frontline and vulnerable communities"

That's a lot of foolishness in one section of a sentence that goes on and on.

Being homeless gives you lots of access to nature.
  • & OC wants us all to be homeless.

Her office has taken down their page summarizing the GND.

I found it on the internet archive, and now you can see it on scribd, where I placed a PDF for posterity.

You can't put this kind of stupidity into the memory hole and get away with it.

    Speaking of which:

  • My hippy Liberal friend at work read this.
He comes up to my desk and says:

Ya know, I have no intention of switching party's, but if I did?

    *pause*

...it would be because of stupid shit like this.

  • excuse me... EXCUSE ME... they are not HOMELESS, are UNHOUSED!  Did you not read the required glossary for Frontline and Vulnerable Communities?!?!  CIS gendered alt-right housies like you are the problem with this nation.  Especially you, 2.DOH, hoarding all that nature from indigenous workers :(
